it is. i had fine everywhere until i downloaded .21 after that is when i had bad lag. the only route so far without lag was the one with the cave, before you reach the town with faulkner.

Ok thanks ^^ now all I need to figure out, is why everything lags when trying to move around. It's fine when I'm in a building or in battle, but otherwise it lags terribly.

it worked. had to do the redistribution update. the link you gave didn't help but I found it easily enough, it's http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914 once i downloaded it, the game works fine. thanks a ton for all your help and being so patient with me. Spoke too soon...

I have media player already on my computer, and no it didn't generate an error log file or anything. It just gave me that little pop up and then closed. do I possibly need to update my video drivers or something for the game to possibly work?

The same thing happens to me as skyetm. I too use windows XP, though I think mine is 64bit. When I click the game Icon the game pops up with the updates and what not. I then go to click 'start game' thats when it closes and an error message pops up. All it says for me is that something...
