if you are talking about what the game shows exactly when you use the item then you're probably experiencing the effect of damage calculation which appears after using an item. what happens is that the game fully heal your Pokemon then shows you the result of the next turn.

why not get them yourself? you just need the stones and level up in ilex forest and ice path.
