Not a bug Game deleted

I've up-dated the game to the latest version, and lost my entire file/save. I'm wondering if this is a bug or just a bad coincidence, and is there any way i could get the save back?

Well getting the Save File back may be unlikely unless you know ALL the info o your Save File. based on how the .dat files are set up I suppose you could forge or recreate a file. Ive never really tried yet so I'm not 100% sure if it would work though in theory it should. I would assume that creating a "Save Folder" titled after your you trainer name for said Save file would be the 1st step that would need to be taken. In any event in the future I'd suggest Keeping a Backup copy of your save files for the game like I do in a separate folder somewhere

Save file can sometimes get deleted with big updates. So before doing an update just go into your pokemon 3d folder, copy the save folder inside and paste it to your desktop. Then after the update is finished go back into your pokemon 3d folder, delete the new save file and put the one on your desktop in.

Sometimes your save wont get deleted but its better to play it safe.

copy the folder. the Save folder. and rename it in "Save Backup"
