Not really. This thread should've been locked away and have been put in an archive, which makes your thread completely valid.

No you'll be fine for the following reasons:

1. This is an inactive thread and shouldn't be receiving new posts.

2. The thread creator is banned, therefore he can no longer look over this thread.

So yes it should be fine to post a new thread over this, but not here.
