So it has. Forgive me for making a hasty request out of sudden frustration, but I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.im pretty sure that was stated a while ago...
Just so you know, this thread was made to officially announce that implementing moves is the priority at the moment...So it has. Forgive me for making a hasty request out of sudden frustration, but I hope you can understand where I'm coming from.
Here's where I'm at. I've been playing this game on and off for the past several months now because it is amazing and has a LOT of potential. However, it's extremely frustrating when one of my Pokemon is about to learn a new move that would greatly improve its moveset and usefulness, only to find out it turns into Pound when used. This happened to me way too many times, and occasionally it leaves me so upset that I stop playing for a week or two in the hopes that when I come back, they'll be finished.
To be honest, I'm not sure what's keeping them from being worked on. I'm a programmer myself, and I can't imagine it being difficult to code individual moves in any system, especially one which is already packed with them. Zen Headbutt, for instance, would literally just be a copy/paste of Headbutt only with tweaked stats and type. I doubt it'd take more than 10 minutes tops to implement fully. And yet, it is Pound. Just because of this, I have to change yet another member of my team if I want to have a chance at beating the Elite Four.
I understand the devs aren't made of time/money. I understand they have lives outside of Pokemon3D. And this is your game, you have the right to prioritize whatever features you want. But if you're going to leave half of the moves unusable, the least you can do is provide a list of which ones work (or don't work, whichever list is smaller) so that players can plan their teams accordingly; otherwise, the only way to tell whether a plan will work or not is to spend hours training a Pokemon and learning the move in question, then test it out in battle. You have no idea how happy I am that Brick Break now works, but I'm still afraid that my Heracross will be hindered because I have no idea whether or not Megahorn is implemented, and I won't get to find out until I grind him to level 46. The move is simple enough, but if Zen Headbutt isn't in...
(Yeah, I'm aware that the list in the OP is sorta what I'm talking about, but it's not a definitive list of unimplemented moves, just the most requested ones. If a move isn't on the list, there's still no other way to tell if it's implemented or not. Also, if there is such a list out there somewhere, I must not have looked hard enough to find it. If this is the case, if anyone could provide a link, it would be most appreciated.)
Sorry if I'm sounding pushy or ungrateful, but these are my thoughts on the matter. The viewpoint of a single player. Perhaps I'm expecting too much out of a game that is still very early in development. I would not deny it if so. Perhaps I should be playing another Pokemon game if this one isn't living up to my "standards". I have many Pokemon games to choose from. But there aren't many in existence where you can play online with several people, walk around the world together, battle/trade each other at will... and so forth. Many of my friends who are also excited for those features are waiting for the game itself to become more playable before they jump in. Finishing up the moves would be a great start. And that's really all there is to say on the matter. Thank you for your time.
. Also, this game is probably less developed than you may think. It is very far away from entering the alpha stage in development. If so, then I find it a little strange that the OP hasn't been updated in three and a half weeks, despite the fact that there has been at least one game update since then. Just an observation.Just so you know, this thread was made to officially announce that implementing moves is the priority at the moment....
yes...and they added moves thenIf so, then I find it a little strange that the OP hasn't been updated in three and a half weeks, despite the fact that there has been at least one game update since then. Just an observation.

Ah, that explains a lot, thanks!Sorry about not updating the post
and some of the moves while being marked as done in a google doc we share apparently havent been added to the source
I will ask nilllzz and vade if they have any completed moves lying around to make sure it gets in
also
Gen 6 moves will not be added until all other moves have been added
this has to do with the way the current system works:
You will notice in the scripts folder that there are .lua files for attacks
those are used for the move details that display in the move stats
we are currently working on phasing those out but until all of the gen 1-5 moves are completed we cant remove them at all
making the LUA files for the gen 6 moves is not worth our time since they are just a temporary thing until all the moves are done so......
donePlease add tailwind
You mean its already added? Oh i just saw it!done
