ROM/Emulator saves?

Please excuse my ignorance. I am very new, I just found out about Pokemon 3D about an hour ago. I searched the FAQ and forum for my answer but could not find it. I was wondering if there was a way to load a saved game from a previous rom/emulator version of s/g/c/ss/hg?

First off, hello and welcome to P3D!!

Now the answer to your question: No.

Here's why: Pokemon 3D is coded in a completely different engine than the ROMs made by Nintendo (which is why you need to make sure you have .NET Framework 4 and XNA Framework 4 installed in order to play P3D). Therefore, the user files themselves are different than the original games too.

Sorry to let your hopes down a bit if you thought you were going to load up your old Gold account in here, but at least you get to enjoy an awesome game from the very beginning! Believe me, it's worth it!

might also want to make a GameJolt account before staring the game so you can trade and stuff when you reach the fourth gym

Doh! I knew I was forgetting something. So yeah do what Darkfire said, create a GameJolt account that way you can use the online features of the game once you have completed certain events in-game. Another benefit of having the GameJolt account is that your game is saved on GameJolt and accessed through the cloud. Just remember to save often! *sighs* I learned that the hard way.
