Breeding Legendaries

As mentioned in the title I'll try and suggest implementing the possibility to breed all those non-breeding legendaries (at least with ditto) later on; That would permit leveling them up from the get go, thus making all those attacks they never came to learn and furthermore all of that missed history/fun availiable.

You can get the attacks they learned on a lower level from the Attack learner in Blackthorn City in exchange for Heartscales.

True but you still cannot level them up from the low stages and see them grow....maybe I'm just the only one who likes to train his team fom lvl 2/3

If it is about dublicating them, a character setting back your pokémon's level standing around somewhere might do the trick too but wouldn't be as immersive imo

I'm honestly shocked that someone would consider this. The core defining traits of legendaries is that they are unique, one of a kind pokemon available only once in a game. If they were breedable the word legendary wouldn't even apply, they would just be pokemon with high stats. If you want them to learn low level moves use a heart scale like nilllzz suggested, as for levelling them for the fun of it, you would have to get them near the start of the game to get any "fun" out of them anyways, unless you call power levelling them by repeating the e4 fun. I'd bet my shinies that legends will never be breedable, as for a a mechanic that de-lvls your pokes; I can't think of any situation where the average player would ever want that. Especially since like I said by the time you would want to de-lvl your team you are already at the e4 and the only content left is to keep re-doing them to boost lvls right now. I don't see that feature ever happening either but I'm not a mod so I can't say for sure.

You could lvl it down, trade it to a friend, create a new game, trade it back and just defeat the very same one later, which would make it unique again.

You could of course make a GameMode which allows you to start with a legendary. You won't be able to play online with that of course.

It has been said before, but being able to play with a Legendary from the get-go defies one of their most recognizable characteristics, their uniqueness, let alone the chance of breeding them. That would undercut their own inherent value and, furthermore, would render the other pokemons as useless in the wake of teams composed of Kyogres, Mewtwos and multiple Suicunes.

It would serve only a vengeful purpose to curbstomp early gym leaders using powerful critters, but for me, that doesn't sound challenging or fun. If anything, their rarity could be increased, in the way Latios, Latias and the Legendary Beasts have taught us over the years.

I seem to recall the anime having a baby Lugia, so breeding legendaries is canon

unless you want them to be like phoenixes and become babies again with no levels????
