Considered Hall of Fame Idea

It would be cool if the game had a hall of fame for gym leaders, not only for leagues.

interesting. maybe cameron could show up to take a picture of you and the gym leader, with your party behind you? putting it in the hall of fame could be cool too

If this were true, it should be separate from the Hall of Fame. I think that this is a good idea,but the Hall of Fame is special. If every Gym Battle was in it, it just wouldn't seem as hard to accomplish. I think this could just be a separate pc function all together. Maybe it could be titled "Gym Victories" or "Battle History".

Maybe they should have a Hall of Fame for every gym, with pictures of all the gym leaders for that gym. They could list all the people to receive the gym badge too.

if we think it makes the fall of fame too crowded it could just be done as a picture cameron takes. did you play hg/ss? theres a photographer you can talk to and he takes a photo of you with your party out. after the pics taken you can see it on your PC

It can be too, i was thinking just in shomething to you look one day and remember your play. But this ideia whas mostly to remember your game with one friend. Like pictures with your and him pokemons and the gym leader. Or just, if co-op, the picture get saved in both PC, your and him. Stuff like that =)

Actually, I just remembered that the games do have a way to remember gym victories. When examined thetwo statues in each gym always say:
Violet City Gym
Leader: Falkner
Winning Trainers: Rivalname, Trainername

If this was implemented into the script, each gym plaque could just also say which outside players won at that gym as well as the person whose gamfile it is and whatever their in game rival's name is. The Rival's name is to make the player feel like they are always one step behind him or her, but the friends name could just be a record of others who came into the players world and on badges.

we have no backend for that. also, there's a script like that in azalea gym, it says you're a certified trainer after you won.

ideally any multiplayer suggestion shouldnt include needing a master server, because while we are probably going to need one, assume the game is always going to be coop on listen servers. so while it may be possible to record that you and a friend did that gym leader in your save, we can't really make it so it shows a global leaderboard or w/e of people that did the gym, or people on a friends list because we have none, lol

that's what i mean, we could totally have your save remember big events in coop, it could be a hall of fame section, it could be a picture cameron takes and sends to the player's PCs, it could be adding your friends names to the pillar at the door. but it can't happen automatically, it'd be something that'd happen when you did the fight in coop. we just don't have players networked together like that

All I meant was that at the gym, the script would just show your victory, and the names of friends who specifically came into your game and beat that gym leader while in your game.

yeah dont worry about it. its a nice idea. we may have to do it, in addition to a picture or mini hall of fame

maybe we can have the Pal Pad as an item in this and in that it records this stuff. but the pillars idea is nice too

What if whenever you play with someone, it checks their badges, and adds their name to your game's pillars in the gyms they have completed, whether the battle was in co-op or not? Wouldn't need a master server or friends list.
