Every time I go to battle him on Route 34 (The one With the daycare) He asks for your number after I beat him and then repeats "Maybe I should leave on in DAYCARE," and I can't get out of it unless I quit. It looks like other people have the same issue with other trainers too.

This has been reported many times. The bug is fixed in the next version. Avoid talking to NPCs for the time being.

This seems to be reported mostly for trainers, though I'd avoid all to be safe.
