Ive had it happen for the first time last night and had to quite the game and open it again to fix it. it may be due to trying to skip the dialog of the trainer to fast?

There no need restart game, just press enters or Spaces to finish a battle.

Since my Feraligatr only uses Surf, rapidly pressing Space when this happens is of no inconvenience to me.

I get the same bug constantly I just press (a) on my xbox controller and it eventually goes away
