Considered [Suggestion]: 3D models and 'edges'

Hello,

I know the person who is rendering the 3D models has just joined the team, and warm welcome to you. :)

I just wondered if it would be possible to get black edge borders for parts of Pokemon. For example Jigglypuff/Clefairy, you can't see the arm definition on one arm because the coloring is the same throughout. Would it be possible to make the arm have a black border around it, so you can see it?

In other words just clearer detail on certain Pokemon.

If not then no problems. :)

It's easier to make a shader for that. I would do that, but its not top priority right now. Will do in the future though.

Ah okay no problem. I'm not savvied up on graphics so don't know about that sort of stuff. Thanks for the info. :)

I didn't want to make a new post an idea for the 3D model so i'll post it here.

My idea is to make 3D models for the trainers just for battles ;). Most of the time I'm playing in First person on the over world anyway. Seeing the Trainers in a 3D model while battling would be a nice touch up. (Maybe even every time you move the trainer will point his finger out like he's giving a command.)

I agree with Davey though. Adding the dark edge borders to the 3D pokemon will give it a more "Cartoon/ Videogame-ish" look.

Man, this just took at all the work they're putting into this. Pokemon 3D is turning more...3D! I think they're doing a great job. They find things to improve upon, and just do it. Good job guys.
