Exp Bonus

There should be an item that boosts your exp, unlockable after say you get all the gym badges. Possibly an add effect to the dragon gym badge, that increases exp gained from battle x2 or something. Personally i enjoy hunting and capturing pokemon but certain ones have to be evolved by leveling, and that can take a very long time to do over and over. Allowing trainers to get a bonus at the end of the game encourages replay between expansions.

There's an item called "Lucky Egg" that serves this purpose.
It just isn't obtainable yet, it's in the coding of the game though.

It is possible that they might be adding double exp for traded pokemon, but I don't think they would go as far away from the original games as to give double exp after beating all gyms.

Enethil, i believe you do get a small exp bump for traded pokemon, my machop (nicknamed Muscle) i got from trading a drowzee in goldenrod city does get more exp then all my other pokemon but not double its like 5-10% increase (just an estimate) Currently i'm using him a long with the Exp Share item to do some power leveling, which i just obtained this morning, in time for my squirtle egg to hatch, really excited tbh!

briginius idea. there could be like an item that you can use on yourself like the repel but like doubles the amount of exp you get in an amount of time

Hey just wanted to say that is seems you do get actually a decent exp boost from traded pokemon. I was training and saw that my traded pokemon get probably 50% more experience when facing the same level wild pokemon.

My Gengar got 1238 exp from a lvl. 37 fearow while my Arcanine got 820 exp from another lvl. 37 fearow.

FYI this bonus exp also is shared through exp share!

Definitely correct sir, my estimate was based off a trade with an NPC, the girl in goldenrod city, i recently leveled my first GTS trade the other night, a squirtle and so a huge increase in exp. He out leveled all my main squad in just a couple nights on the top floor of Mt. Morter. Where do you train? I like Mt. Morter and Illex using headbutt for low levels.

I used to train in Mt. Mortar, but now I've started training in the grass above the waterfall on Route 47. Even using exp. share, I'm still getting from 400-700 exp per Pokemon (total exp of 800-900 for regular pokemon, 1200-1400 for GTS traded pokemon)!

Oh I just realized that I'm playing on Difficulty 1, so the exp values are probably slightly higher than normal.

You earn more of a bonus xp boost from trading pokemon accross to another region IE. America --> Asia idk if thats implimented into the game yet, may be next update since the GTS is getting a upgrade.

Wow, definitely didn't know that! Guess the guy I traded with was from Canada and I'm from US lol. Pretty cool. And this next update is gonna be great! Can't wait!
