Let's say...it's not that easy anymore. You cannot edit the files since they are stored online.
But some people always find ways to change the values in ways I don't even want to understand. That's what banlists are for

it looks like that guy got reset then he rehacked his rank but kept it just high enough to put him in rank 1 to trying to look legitimate...

Can't stop wondering why would someone cheat in order to get high rank (maybe troll ?) . I could understand someone cheating in order to get super stats on his pokes when pvp is implemented (which ,I have the feeling, will be very soon) and if there is pvp ranking , but cheating for achievment points is ridiculous.
