I got my very first shiny (aside from Gyarados) while surfing in Pokemon Crystal. It was a shiny Tentacool. -.-
My second shiny was found on Pokemon Diamond. I was using the pokerader in an attempt to find a shiny Ponyta. I used the pokeradar once after defeating my first Ponyta and saw the grass sparkle...
I walked into the grass and found... a shiny Smeargle! x) I still have her, completely untrained I think, on Pokemon Diamond.
Since I'm a full-time student, I don't play much outside of vacations, so those are the only one's beside the one's I've traded for.

I actually had a shiny eevee and evolved her into a Leafeon. In hindsight, I regret that I didn't evolve her into an Umbreon as a shiny Umbreon has a much nicer difference than a shiny Leafeon. xD

Lucky you, Pika's first two shinies were the most useless Pokemon, Unown and Wubbofet. When Pika found the shiny Unown, Pika almost threw Pika's DS at the wall, when Pika found the shiny Wubbofet, Pika threw the DS at the wall.
R.I.P DS, you were good to Pika.
But after that Pika found a shiny abra, used the same shiny Wubbofet's Shadow Tag to keep it in battle, caught it with a Pokeball first shot, Pika's little brother got jealous and tried to steal it. TO this day, Pika only has the shiny Wubbofet on Pika's Black.

Yea, I would have traded you too. A shiny eevee for a shiny ponyta. I no longer have my DS regrettably. I got tired of it once they stopped making them compatable with GBA games

I wasn't very lucky with my shinies, I might have found one but was too young and ignorant to know it was special and may have defeated it...

However! In P3D I found myself a shiny Vulpix.

I was walking through R37 and was looking for a Vulpix.
Walked through it a couple of times and then... Boom. A Vulpix and guess what. It was shiny!
I didn't believe my eyes, my first shiny and it is a Vulpix!
I threw out my Ghastly and started to pinch away its health and used potions to keep my Ghastly allive.
Eventually the Vulpix used ''Roar''... my eyes got big when I saw it and I thought I was screwed... but... little did I know that Ghost-types are immune to Normal-type moves and thus it had no effect! I threw an Ultra Ball and caught the awesome Vulpix.
After leveling and giving it proper moves, I used a Fire stone to evolve it into the majestic shiny Ninetales:

My 1st Shiny was a Shiny Smoochum which hatched from the odd egg in pokemon crystal. Also in that game I got given a Shuckle which was also shiny.
In my ruby or sapphire game (I cant remember which) I caught a shiny Zubat while hunting for an Aron. I then lent that game to a friend whilst forgetting that Zubat was on it
I also found a shiny Machop in my Fire-red game which is now in my Diamond.

And so far in P3D on my gamejolt account I've found a Shiny Gastly in Sprout Tower (after my gut instincts told me to hunt there cause I was gonna find a shiny) and a Shiny Dratini from the Dragon's Den.
