They originally were gonna change my Spanish name because of that

Well, I got the name Knives on my thief character in Maplestory almost a million years ago. I'm finna change it doe.

I started using my username on battlefront(the star wars one)and I wanted my name to sound like the clone troopers like omega 121, gamma 989 and so on, so I named my self alpha 379, Alpha: because some of the clones names were Alpha. 379: our ages at the time, sis:3 bro:7 me:9. So when I got battlefront 2, name upgrade! So I changed alpha to beta an other clone trooperish name, And it stuck.
