Not a bug Party Pokemon Are No More

Ok, so I got to Cianwood City and then saved and logged off. But when I came back my pokemon option was no longer in the menu. I tried to battle a wild pokemon to see if they would come back but instead I got a level 1 Bulbasaur (Which is fair enough as it is No.1 in the Pokedex). However, I still have a save file with a party.dat on there but it doesn't work when I try to replace it.

Did you happen to change something in the party file? tried to make them shiny, changed gender or IVs etc?

In said Party file, you will find "Store" tags at the end.
Delete them, tell me if that works
