I'm not sure if this is actually a bug, but the national park and lighthouse are extremely laggy for me. I'll go from about 40 fps at either route to 5 fps when I enter the national park and from about 30 fps in Olivine City to 2 fps in the lighthouse.

Don't get me wrong, my laptop is horrible. I'm sitting here on a 45nm(Penryn) based Core 2 Duo T6600 with Intel GMA 4500M graphics. It just seems odd that there would be such a large difference between the areas.

This laptop can't support a dedicated card, and because:

How much money I make < (Tuition + Rent + Food + Books + Gas)

Trust me, I'd love to do a new build. If my lab didn't move I could at least play at night in there since one of the office computers has a 3570k that I've got at 4.7 Ghz(At 4.8 it starts getting really power hungry) and a 650 Ti whose memory is stable at 7400 Mhz effective.(Afterburner won't go past that)

Since Nilz and co. made all the maps connected, even I've had heaps of lag. I wasn't a big fan of that, but it looks a bit better. Everything's fine up until Violet City. Lag Central.

My parents aren't doing very well either right now. If I really ended up trying to build on a budget, I'd probably do a $300 build using a A10 6800K and an old mechanical(probably white alps) keyboard from goodwill. I'm not actually sure how much Pokemon3D relies on cpu vs gpu though. Thanks for letting me know it's just by design and not a bug though. You guys are extremely helpful.
