You don't get the opportunity to switch pokemon when the enemy pokemon faints.

That is normal- This is based off of Gold & Silver and in Gold & Silver you didn't get that option- It was dropped after Pokemon Yellow.

sorry mister boxtropica, but your information is wrong, in every pokemon game you can change your pokemon without lose a turn if the opponent pokemon faints. Except in battles with real people. There is an option in every game called "battle style" and you can change it from "set" to "shift". In every game since pokemon green, the default option is "shift".

Sorry, I had meant that it was normal because it isn't implemented into Pokemon 3D, so it is hardly a bug or a glitch, just an unimplemented feature.
