Was thinking earlier today how neat it would be to have a pokémon companion with u.

Made a little script and a threw together a custom pikachu npc skin to showcase what it could look like if implemented properly.

What it basically would be is a npc entity moving towards the player last location that is set whenever the player has moved.

In multiplayer this would however require the npc entity to be synced properly to each client.

The purpose of this u ask? Nothing really only that it is cool to showcase your rarest pokémon to your friends or just have it follow u around cause u like it so much :p

Showcased down below is how it could potentially look like from another players perspective in multiplayer.

cool
but the only problem is the lack of continuity in both movements, they can't walk at the same time, one shouldd stop

he's just rigged up 2 npcs to move around with scripts mate, you can only move 1 thing at a time with scripts atm :(

nilllzz is a big fan of hg/ss apparently and that had pokemon following you so it's probably something that'll happen later. it's something i'd love to see at least. it made sense from a mechanics POV too, if your first pokemon in your party has certain abilities you get higher level wild pokemon and stuff like that. so it makes sense to have the party leader following the trainer on the overworld.

there may be issues with 3rd person camera and it blocking your view but there's probably ways around that
