I kind of get a feeling that shinies are easier to encounter in Pokemon3D than in the official games. I have captured 3 legit now.

Okay so by what i am reading here there are shiny Pokemon in Pokemon 3D they are jsut really hard to find? or are they only accessible after reaching a certain part in the game.

They are super rare. The encounter rate is like 1/8171 or something like that.

Shiny Pokemon are one of the rarest things to be found in the game. You have approximately a 0.01% chance of finding one in the wild. Being shiny doesn't actually do much besides change the appearance of a Pokemon to a new color scheme.

there still cool to have and they are like a status symbol for most pokemon games. cause you have to put in work to find one ( that is without cheating ) no dry starting ( saving before a legendary, then continuous turning on and off till the poke is shiny ) and codes and crap.
