Poke Rods

I have yet to talk to every NPC in the game so I wouldn't know.... but is there a poke rod/ old rod in the 1st few cities? I would like to get a hold of a magikarp

I'm afraid that you will have to wait until Olivine City, that's where you get your first fishing rod in the official games.

The fishing rod is first available in the pokemon center of route 32 in the original games
however the rods have not been implemented into the game at all yet so it is not obtainable
