Implemented Varying Sprite Sizes

I was thinking about this just now. Take a look at this picture from the anime. Notice anything?

Not all Pokemon of the same kind are the same size. I think this would be an excellent feature to add to the game (sometime in the future). The Pokemon sprites would have max and min sizes, and the size would perhaps be determined based on the Pokemon's EVs and IVs, etc, so that your Pokemon would increase in size (grow) the higher level it got. It would also make encountering wild Pokemon interesting, especially when you see one that's noticeably bigger than usual (then you'd know to catch it). I haven't done much research on IVs myself, but I know that some two of the same Pokemon at the same level can vary in strength, and I would like to see this visually within the game.

Now let's hear your opinions on this. :)

I haven't been one to like adding ideas from the anime, but this is a very interesting idea...

To not take the fun of finding good Pokémon, you have to look very closely, the changes are little, but noticeable.

Pokémon3D is back with version 0.27 and new features all over the place. (...)
Now let’s get to the changes and new features:
  • New lightning engine (in development, but is nearly finished) - Disable with F4.
  • New Pokédex mode - Habitat mode. Switch around in the Pokédex using the arrow keys.
  • National Park and gates.
  • Overhauled complete music pack to make it loop better.
  • Placeholder abilities
  • All attacks implemented. Most are placeholders though and don’t work properly. We will implement them step by step.
  • Sudowoodo event and SquirtBottle.
  • Route 36 trainers
  • Fixed “InsideCorner” model displaying wrong textures and lightning
  • Pokémon are displayed larger in battles when having better IVs.
  • Fixed healing machine sound sounds over the music.
  • Fixed steel types can get poisoned.
  • Showing Genders [(F) or (M)] while renaming Pokémon.
  • Splash screen (This is actually important because the game is loading stuff in the background - it reduces startup time so you can see something from the game earlier)

I've played around giving my pokemon some IV's to see how big they can get, and I've noticed at max IV (all 31), some pokemon are WAY too big. Here is an example, Dragonite:

actually, that seems about right. think about the episode in Pokemon when Ash encounters the gigantic Dragonite outside the Lighthouse where Bill lives.

Even though it is not much to see in the scenery, I think it still takes up too much of the screen. The Dragonite does not even fit in the screen. :p

Thanks a lot nilllzz! :D

You're talking about the strongest of the strongest of all Dragonites here. That size seems about right. Besides, do you realise how extremely rare it would be to encounter a wild Dratini with MAXIMUM IVs? I say good for you if you do.
