[Indev 0.53.2] Deltron's Bug it or Shrug it

I really enjoy testing games, so I drew up a bug report for the game. None of these are vital fixes, since none caused crashes. Really, they're D-class bugs (a couple C-class) that should be known, but there's no pressure to fix them.
If this is well received, I'll try to update this every month or so.

Method: I played the game with a variety of Pokemon, trying different moves. I attempted to break the game progression in any way I could, and tried to find exploits in various situations. I always talked to every NPC. Most importantly, I kept a .txt file open and just wrote down anything that didn't seem right.

I'll try to break these down by category and location for ease of consumption.
Anything that is a duplicate report, I'll try to strike it out.

  • The move Rollout does not reset after interruption (self-damage from confusion, a missed attack, flinching, sleep[?]) Normally, one of these would restart Rollout's damage to the beginning. This currently makes this move unstoppable - several gym leaders are able to be beaten with a single, rollout-using pokemon.
  • Fire Spin reports that a pokemon is trapped in a vortex even if they are already fainting before the damage would be dealt. Also, if performed second, fire spin does not do additional damage at the end of the turn - or, if your pokemon is paralyzed.
  • Healing Items give you a peek at the outcome of the next turn. This has been reported before.
  • Attacks may have no target after enemy dies of poison before your turn.
  • The move Spite can take PP from switched-out pokemon. (This might be intentional, I'm not sure.)
  • Flinch causing moves don't appear to cause flinch if performed second in the stack order. This one could just be bad luck, it'd be great if more users could try this out.
  • Confusion damage seems too high - often about 1/3 hp. Should be based on attack and defense. (Again, could be my imagination.
  • Pokemon can recover from confusion (potential also wake up) in a turn while flinching.
  • Double Kick, Fury Attack and Double Slap (presumably all multi-turn attacks) show the message "It's not very effective" or "It's super effective" every hit if ineffective or super effective.
  • Confusion's accuracy is outrageously low (or bad luck) in the grotto in Ilex Forest. 10 misses in a row.

  • Youngster on 2nd floor of Goldenrod Dept. Store says 'you can only keep 10 phone numbers' but that's blatantly not true. Maybe change to past tense?
  • Day Care prices are off by two decimal points. 101$ for 1 level, 103$ for 3 levels, etc.
  • MooMoo Farm woman on Route 39 is supposed to give TM13 - snore, not 6 Moomoo Milks. Also, she repeats "Our milk even goes out to KANTO. So if our own MILTANK won't give us any milk, we're in trouble." even after giving the Miltank some Oran berries.
  • The Bug-catching contest canned animation can have you walking through NPC - a boy with blue hat. This is the North-east entrance only.

  • Perhaps, Love Ball works well on Ditto due to its genderless quality. Should be tested more.
  • Starter Pokemon born from eggs may be holding a berry at birth (worked with a Chikorita, but not a Totodile). Not a bad thing, but has pretty terrible implications about what's happening inside that egg.
  • Eggs are assigned Pokeballs as if they were caught in the wild. Eggs and Pokemon born from eggs seem to inherit their ball from their parents. Sudowoodo was caught with a Super Ball and Chikorita was caught with a Pokeball. Bonsly born marked with a Super Ball as if he had been caught with one. Chikorita showed a Pokeball.

  • PokeMarts really need more visual feedback on purchases/sales. While playing with sound off, I often find myself confused about how many I've actually bought.
  • Any eggs in your party are counted as Pokeballs while healing in the PKMN Center.
  • Pokeballs in the PKMN Center are all plain Pokeballs.
  • HP UP item didn't work on Geodude (level 23). Item reported that his HP was raised; no real effect.
  • Placing a Pokemon in the PC instantly heals it fully. I believe this took place once you left the PC in the games (Ruby/Sapphire onward). Allows you to quickly heal Pokemon in certain locations (around Bug Catching Park, etc.)
  • You cannot use a PC while using Ride (probably intentional to avoid depositing a ridden Pokemon). The problem is that the message doesn't tell you the problem, and seems like a bug. Might want to be revised.
  • The Shadow in Ecruteak City is nice, but should be excised. It's rough on the edges and is silly when you can see the sun coming from a different location.
  • Finally, the PKMN Center Sign in Goldenrod city seems to be in the wrong place. Here's the Goldenrod one and a normal one (Ecruteak City)

Hope this helps.
Feel free to give me some feedback here or through messages. If there's anything I'm mistaken about, please tell me.

I believe grottoes have a "Fog weather" effect, similar to what is found in the generation 4 games Diamond, Pearl and Platinum that lowers accuracy rates. Also, I 'm under the assumption it is designed that way intentionally because very rare Pokemon can be found in them sometimes.

this one is intentional, you can get all sorts of items from breeding pokemon in P3D, the chance is the same as it is in the wild. (100% for gen2 starters, Totodile must have had one)

this is intentional as it is actually a feature in GenVI original games

this item does not raise HP per se, it actually raises the HP EV points.

this is intentional and I'm pretty sure this is how it works in the Nintendo games.

  • You cannot use a PC while using Ride (probably intentional to avoid depositing a ridden Pokemon). The problem is that the message doesn't tell you the problem, and seems like a bug. Might want to be revised.
This one should go to the Suggestions/feedback forum and not the bugs forum.

Same as above.

I figured so as well. Just checking that it's set at 3/5 accuracy.

Pardon? I don't understand.
