Disccusion about skipped improvements

  • Transparent Bridges. There is even thread with a lot likes for it, so it's time for don't be to lazy.
  • Street Lights and Street Lights Effect. There is even thread with a lot likes for it, so it's time for don't to be lazy.
  • Always change between regions. We can add Map Update Card which one will change our map to World Map and we could obtain this after certain story completed or after 16 badges. I believe people would love to able to fly from where ever they are. And there is thread with a lot of likes.
  • Update NPCs Sprites to 5th Gen/BWB2W2 standards (Gym Leaders, E4 members, Champions, Protagonists, Antagonists and other NPC which ones uses old Sprites). You can find 5th Gen: Red, Chuck, Leaf and Bug Catcher ready for use here. I believe some people would like see that.
  • Update/Renew Items Icons to Dream World/6th Gen ones. I believe some people would like to see that.

  • Add Pokemon male/female differences for Overworld and Sprites images. Spiky-eared as Female. I believe some people would like to see that.

  • Finish Shiny Pokemon Icons for once. That would be helpful for trading and people would like see that.

  • Add possibility use Animated 3D Models. I believe there a more then some people would like see that.
We have talked about this before and it is alot of effort to put those in(we dont even know if it will be possible without completely re-writing the ENTIRE rendering code
I wouldn't necessarily be against changing shiny colorings but it wont happen often(yellow charmader/charmeleon are fine as they are)

4) We did...we removed the models when we decided that we couldn't properly animate them
5) they look fine as yellow. I will only change those that look horrid(puke dragonite was disgusting....)

  • We can sometime in the future implement transparent bridges, it's not a priority though.
  • Street Lights: No.
  • Always change between regions: I think I already said that this won't happen, for different reasons. The simplest being that it was like this in the earlier games. The second one being an experience factor: You won't see a glimpse of the Kanto region until way into the game, which then makes you go "Woah, another region to explore". This would be ruined if you could always switch maps.
  • The NPC sprites are fine with their 4th gen versions.
  • Gender differences would be treated as Form differences. Those are possible to implement, just take time to do so.
  • I already finished all shiny menu sprites for the next version.
  • The 6th gen item sprites are taken from the 5th gen, so I don't know what you want here. The Dream World artworks are way too high quality and won't fit into the aesthetic style of the game, also there aren't Dream World artworks for every item, making those that aren't available stand out negatively.
  • 3D model bone animation is not easy to implement. So unless absolutely needed, I would try to avoid pulling my own solution.

  • In 6th Gen some Icons was updated like Moomoo Milk. For Dream World ones I don't mind, because you have a good reason.

I feel like I need to elaborate on this, what Sviper means is that we want to have the ability to fly from say.....cerulean directly to the safari zone without the need to fly to E4 first for example, that's what he means by the ability to change regions always, as you can see above in bold. so aside from the sole reason of it not being the way it was in the original games, I can't find any other reason for this not to be in the game.

I feel like I need to elaborate on this, what Sviper means is that we want to have the ability to fly from say.....cerulean directly to the safari zone without the need to fly to E4 first for example, that's what he means by the ability to change regions always, as you can see above in bold. so aside from the sole reason of it not being the way it was in the original games, I can't find any other reason for this not to be in the game.
It makes more sense to limit the range for early game purposes than later game ones(the fly map and the town map use the same settup and definitions so changing one changes the other)
We do understand what you are saying but I for one want the regions to be as exclusive fly zones as possible(I have contemplated even making the johto cities that you can see in the Kanto map not fly destinations and havent simply because they are already in and it might confuse people to remove it now)
basically people in Kanto can only fly to Kanto and Johto only to johto; and they overlap so that way you can fly from one to the other(I would rather remove the overlap than connect them entirely)
