This event happen in HG/SS to give you one of the pokemons from the creation trio, because these pokemons can only be obtained this way in this game (without trading), since Sinnoh isn't available in HG/SS. However, we will most likely have Sinnoh in Pokemon3D (it will take a while tho), so the creation trio pokemons will most likely be available
there ,like in Pokemon Platinum.
