these changes need to happen

nerf npc healing. seriously! the amount of healing done by npcs is sickening, and is a pp waste for the players.

add in the "npc is about to switch, would you like to?" dialog. at the moment, It is near impossible to land a good hit because the npc randomly switches and wastes a turn you could have used to make a better switch.

at the moment, important npc's are on mortal kombat mugen difficulty even on easy. this needs to change, and though I know it may seem that Im saying it is too hard, Im really not. I am just pointing out what turns the game from difficult to sickening.

The potion usage is fine, as it is like in the official games (if you play on the easiest difficulty, and if you are not, then this is one of the things that will make it more difficult). As for the NPC switching pokemon, Nilllzz is working on a more advanced AI that can predict your moves and such, but obviously it isn't complete, so unnecessary switches may occur.

all im saying is the elite 4 is rediculously hard, and their crit chance/ anything we do that is doomed to fail 90% of the time is way to high. I have a persian that should be able to 1 hit some of the first elite trainers pokemon, but cant cause the person switches right as I attack.

Well, then that means that the AI is not completely stupid. It calculates that your persian can 1-shot that pokemon & switches out to another pokemon that can take that hit better, and possibly take out your persian aswell. Just like in PvP, it's all about predicting what the AI will do, and counter it.

The AI is predicting and sometimes even calculating, but not playing unfair as in breaking the rules. Stuff like crit chances are the same for player and NPCs, same with paralysis and so on.

it just seems that way, like Ill use a stat effect, and fail 5 times in a row and the npc will get it first try.

I can assure you, that is not the case.
Also, just as a little fact, the AI is the same for every trainer, the Elite 4 is not using a different one :D
I am planning to change this though, depending on the trainer's strength and also the game's difficulty setting.

Oh the AI IS playing unfair IMO. When you get a status effect (i.e. sleep powder) and you use a full heal on your turn, the next turn your opponent will use sleep powder again! This happened to me five times in a row against one npc. He COULD be predicting you'd use a full heal, but five times? No...

this is more the AI is so stupid it is smart.
It might have used the move even without you using the heal item :p
