Playing Pokemon 3D over LAN

Alright, but It's starting to get a bit weird, the other PC disconnects almost ever minute or 2, it's got only 1 bar, and what's weirder is we both get 5 bars for the Official P3D server, so the Internet isn't that slow at all...
One more thing I forget to mention. The server launcher that we all have is a little different than the Official server.

The game still haven't release the new server launcher that fixes most of the disconnect bug. So you have to bare with it for now.

Oh, I think I found something! I checked the other PC, and it gives this error: "Disconnected! You have been kicked out for bad connection." And in the Server Info, it says that the error is: "Y Quit the game (no ping received for 20 seconds)". The other player counted as well, he got kicked out every exact 20 seconds.
The thing is, the server seems to misunderstand the no ping as a bad connection, Even though I can see the other player and play with him perfectly.

Is there any way to extend this ping time through an option of some sort? Sorry for asking so much :/

Unfortunately the server launcher do not have such a setting. So you cannot extend the ping time.

Alright then. I guess I'll keep looking for ways around this.
The strange thing though, is that when the other PC [Y's PC] is hosting the server, Player Y himself gets disconnected for the Bad Connection... weird, huh?
Player X (Me) Never got disconnected from his own server, I'm starting to think there's a problem with Y's computer..

That is not actually true, it's the same one. (I think), same protocol at least.
Maybe @Malcolm Reynolds has something to say about it?

Alright, I fixed the problem by reading this: http://pokemon3d.net/forum/threads/6152/ My problem was that I was using 127.0.0.1:15124 on the other PC connected to mine, I was supposed to use the IP address for my computer (The computer hosting the server).
One last thing, and this is pretty weird... Sometimes, the other PC connected to mine gets "Cannot reach the server" or gets only 1 bar in the connection status. And sometimes, even my computer (The one hosting the server) only gets 3/4 out of 5 bars...And I get 5 bars on the official P3D server...what's up with that, is there any way to fix it?
That's just the initial package's connection speed. Don't worry about it, due to TCPs slow start, it might be inaccurate and is not representing the connection speed after the connection.

When you are on LAN, you are sharing your own internet to your own house. The more the connection, the slower your home internet becomes so it still have a impact but not that much.
* Btw, that meter is not accurate. So just treat is as normal for now.
Er... your home internet? wat?

Oh, that makes sense. What about the host disconnecting from his own server every 20 seconds due to "no ping after 20 seconds"...?

The "Official Server" is using a modded 0.45.1 server. The only change to it is the ability to communicate with the server status page.

Package queue screwing up everything. New packages that transport over other data get in the way of Ping packages and the server almost never receives them cause they are low priority.
I (most likely) fixed that bug with the next version of the server.
