Playing Pokemon 3D over LAN

Hey there...
I was reading this topic: http://pokemon3d.net/forum/threads/751/ And @Splint 's post caught my attention:
"LAN is already supported? Just use the IP acquired from the local network you set up should work just fine since its all on the same network anyway there is no port forwarding needed and should work straight away afaik."
I would've asked him myself about this in a PM or something, but he was last on in late 2013...

I've been trying to play over LAN for ages, port forwarding simply doesn't work for me. According to his post, When playing LAN, I won't need to port forward... so, how do I do this? Could someone properly explain his post, or If anyone's played through LAN before, could you explain how to play through LAN?

I've been looking around but I couldn't find much on this topic. Thank you very much in advance :)

You don't need to port forward, but you still need the server client.
It does not matter what IP you put in the server client dat file, but you have to know the local IP of the PC with the server client running.

I'm sorry, but could you be a little more clear? I'm still a little blurry from the port forwarding I've been going through :I

You just have to download the server launcher, open the server launcher and you can play using lan without any additional configuration.

It actually works! Thanks so much!
One last question though, when I tried to join the server, it said "Player X tried to connect to with an offline profile" and "You need a GameJolt account to join this server"...
How do I allow offline accounts to join the server?

In the folder where the server client is, there's a file called properties.dat, open it with notepad, and set OfflineMode=1

Thanks, that worked great :)
One absolutely final thing... When I try to join that server with another PC connecting to the same router through the same address "127.0.0.1:15124", it says "Cannot reach server"... any ideas?

Alright, I fixed the problem by reading this: http://pokemon3d.net/forum/threads/6152/ My problem was that I was using 127.0.0.1:15124 on the other PC connected to mine, I was supposed to use the IP address for my computer (The computer hosting the server).
One last thing, and this is pretty weird... Sometimes, the other PC connected to mine gets "Cannot reach the server" or gets only 1 bar in the connection status. And sometimes, even my computer (The one hosting the server) only gets 3/4 out of 5 bars...And I get 5 bars on the official P3D server...what's up with that, is there any way to fix it?

It might be that your internet is slow at that moment...

Oh? Would that matter? It's LAN, isn't it...?
When you are on LAN, you are sharing your own internet to your own house. The more the connection, the slower your home internet becomes so it still have a impact but not that much.
* Btw, that meter is not accurate. So just treat is as normal for now.

Alright, but It's starting to get a bit weird, the other PC disconnects almost ever minute or 2, it's got only 1 bar, and what's weirder is we both get 5 bars for the Official P3D server, so the Internet isn't that slow at all...
