white box around first skin

Sorry guys this is my first time making a skin but i used paint so i think i may have messed it up but there is a huge white box around my skin how do i remove it. how do i make those boxes transparent?

You have to use a program like Paint.net, or Gimp.

this is the honestly my biggest complaint with GIMP v Paint.net
everything in GIMP takes almost twice as long to do with twice as many clicks and commands, etc needed
