Daily competition is about a competition where players have to complete the given task as soon as possible and quick to get the pokemon that are either not implemented like the last eevee evo and some super rare that can't be obtain through normal means.

It was run by the staff, was run by darkfire but he got busy with the game, then was run by hippo, but he got busy with....stuff....
I don't believe any of the staff has time to run such a thing, you'll have to settle with Tornado's lottery for now, there are still some daily compo prizes in his lotto from the old daily compo thread, not to mention Sylveon as a prize in tornado's lottery a few weeks back.
