Help with inbox in GTS

If anyone could help me out with learning about the whole Inbox part of the GTS I'd appreciate it, the problem im having right now is that someone sent me a request to trade but i have no idea how to reply to it or accept it. can anyone help me out with this? or teach me how to send private offers without adding friends or whatever

well its not really local i mean i dont even know who this person is lol i just randomly got a request to trade in my inbox i just have no idea what to do about it. i really want the pkmn but it wont let me trade the pokemon she wants for it

Wait... in your Inbox?
Things in the Inbox are incoming to you without an offer. They're like a gift. To receive it, you need empty space in your party before retrieving it.

haha sorry a bit late for that but there was a small box in the bottom right hand corner that said Message: Trade for Vulpix

well i did what you said and made space in my party for it and i was able to withdraw it but im still a bit confused about the whole message part, i tried to figure out how to send mail so i could talk to the girl who sent it. her id was Gypsii

Well in that case, that message didn't really matter as long as you got the gift.
