Flying

Just began playing this game, when I noticed a bridge after the second time. I was thinking about what it could be?
I wish I could fly with a pokemon up there, would be awesome to control a flying pokemon with WASD and such flying all over the world.

Everywhere in the map is accessible at some point in the game. It's not a matter of flying. It's a matter of using your collective HMs to get to the next point of the game. Remember this is a pokemon game. Fly is and always will be used to fly to cities and nothing more.

If the "bridge" you noticed was crossing over the route after Cherrygrove, it's the train tracks for the Johto-Kanto Train. It tricked me too

I was also thinking about this idea and it occured to mii that this would be helpful to create almost any hidden legendary or even routes and areas like hidden villages or all sorts of other stuff, I'm only scratching the surface but fly could be a whole different concept and the HMs role could easily be munipulated to teleport?? I like the idea of flying overworld to see the beauty below much like Cube World (looks amazing).
