I noticed that when I was using my Gastly against a metapod that when it used harden the text box would say it had no effect(Harden is a normal move, so using a normal move on a ghost pokemon it would normally do that, but it wasn't aimed at my gastly). At the same time the metapod did get harder to kill with a physical move. So all that needs to be changed with normal moves against ghost pokemon(im not sure if it does this with any other normal moves that self-target) is the text that appears. I would upload a save file but this is my online one so I have no idea how or even if you can do that.
