Oculus VIRTUAL REALITY

Okay so first off; for those that don't know - the Oculus Rift is a forth coming VR headset that combats motion sickness and actually provides a full well working experience unlike anything in the past and only costs $300. It's two screens in front of your eyes that have a fisheye display and two lenses in front of those screens that warp the fisheye image to wrap around your vision and make your eyes think they're focusing on infinity so there'd be no eyestrain involved and the picture would FEEL real.

SO MY SUGGESTION IS: Add Oculus Rift support! It's already revolutionary to play inside of a Pokemon world like this, so why not place yourself EVEN MORE-SO inside?! Now I'm not asking for immediate support, obviously, but I would fall in love with eventually being able to BE INSIDE of the Pokemon world!!

Only $300 - that seems a lot to me
But I like the idea of being able to put yourself into the game even more

Lol I say only because the only comparable things I've ever seen, that don't actually seem to be nearly as good are $3,000 on up. It works to replace a monitor, so I'd say 300 is a good price. Lol

Brand new to the forums here, (actually, I made an account just to post this link), so I am not sure if this is a necropost or not. Nevertheless, this YouTube link is exactly what the OP was describing.

The audio is a bit funky, and I am pretty sure it's off by almost half a minute, but there is no doubt about it that Pokemon3D runs nicely on the Rift! Hopefully the uploader has made more progress since their last update.

Hmm, I've never noticed any funky audio issues. Anyway, I doubt that'd effect how it works due to the nature of this game since you aren't bothered by speech not matching up, just slight loss of immersion! (Which is weird to mention in a pokemon game. I freaking love immersion)

would be cool if you could play Pokemon3D with the Oculus Rift (I don't know if it will work)
:p

I don't know if this is being considered or not, but I think this would be a great idea. I love the idea of being even more immersed in the pokemon world :)

I really want to see this implemented. If the game's being made in any of the bigger engines, like unity, oculus rift support can be added really easily via a plugin. I hear a ton of good things about how it works and this game would be really amazing to see working with it! :D

We use Visual Studio :p
We will finish the game first before we think about porting it for other devices :p

Well stereoscopic suppost at all would be awesome, my nvidia graphics card supports most games on its own in 3d and even alot of games that arnt supported run perfectly, like minecraft with shader mod.
