I agree with snoe If you aren't able to play this game well, it's most likely other programs in the background, or your computer. Can we please have the specifications of your computer? It sure as hell sounds like you're running this on a netbook.

@snypr1337 XD nah its not a netbook, but my computer should be able to handle this, as it does minecraft. i close everything via task manager before playing to make sure i am able to get some decent play time.
Processor: AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 244 1.79 GHz
its a 64-bit operating system
windows 7 hime premium
RAM: 2.00 GB
never had a problem with graphics card drivers though, which i was possitive that was the case. turns out it wasnt.
i have 417 free or 465 GB

the problem is your RAM,
2 gb is HORRIBLE! i'm surprised you ran minecraft on that,
in order to play most games you'll need at least a 4 gb ram.

to be super comfortable you would need at least 8 gb ram.

2gb, i cringed after reading that

@snoe
yeesh. is there anyway to add to ram without breaking bank? im like flat broke atm
4gb laptops aren't super expensive, i mean, they're not cheap, but you can find some in the 200's.

of course if you're hardware savvy you can buy the RAM chips and install it into your current laptop.

@snoe its not a laptop though, its a desktop
but either way, i can still add memory to it
i wish you the best in your conquest for more memory then. in this time and age 2gb is only good for facebook users, upgrade and become the pc gamer you desire to be!

RAM is not the issue, I have 2GB of RAM and I run whatever the f*** I feel like running with no lag, including Minecraft. In my opinion, it could be the processor. No offense, but AMD just isn't the same as Intel. Also, it's only running at 1.79 GHz, most processors now (including my Core 2 Duo) run at least at 2.13 GHz. Try to run disk defrags and cleanups, you probably think I'm an idiot, but it frees up crap on your computer. Just try it and see if there is a difference.

i still dont know how you run so well with little ram.
here's how it works, everything uses a set amount of data to run
processors allow that amount of data to lessen, but it's still going to use an amount of data no matter what
most of the normal functions of the computer take up at least .25 to .5 GB of RAM just so the computer can run.
Minecraft alone can run up to 1gb of RAM to play so even with a fast processor you could be hitting the limit of your computers functionality.

tl;dr - processor contributes to performance but Ram is the main factor in quality

I can summarize your question/answer with one equation. Macbook + Bootcamp = Pokemon 3D.
