Are Shiny Pokémon Rare?

First of all, I'm newbie in shiny Pokemon thing I didn't know about them till I played this game, anyhow I was training my Pokemon in the grass and I played for like 20 battles and I got a golden geodude, I didn't know what it's value back then and trade it in GTS for Typhlosion, and I was like "Yeah like someone will trade me for that". After few mins BAM! I got Lv. 36 Typhlosion, "what really?" then I search about shiny pokemon and stuff like the chance of getting one is 1/8192 and people hunt them for days. So, is the parentage of encountering one in this game different from the official games ? or I was just that lucky ?

I actually believe the shiny rate of pokemon is better in P3D than in the official games, because I have found 2 ones so far.

I myself found a Shiny Vulpix. It's awesome. I then won a Daily Competition where Darkfire gave away a firestone and I could evolve it into Ninetails. It. Is. So. Awesone. <3

That's amazing man for me I never won before in the daily giveaway, since the day they implemented the online play thing I'm too busy with the college, till the next 2 weeks I wouldn't be able to play :'(

That's too bad.... Yeah, the daily comp is quite harsh, especially with a certain someone whom is prepared beyond words.

Hahaha, I wasn't even refering to me! I am actually still losing every once in a while.

yeah two people to be more presise:
1: Who can clone via competetion the prize pokemon via waiting.... 0,_,0
2: Someone who has a lot of gamejolt accs (NOT saying who but its not fair to the rest of us...)
I might branch out soon if it keeps happening (hopes they fixed the gts completely so pokemon cannot be cloned)
and
having more then 1 gamejolt acc is against the rules isn't it?

Well, it actually isn't. It's against the rules to have multiple accounts on this website. (Gamejolt is out of Daniel's reach. I think.......... ._. )

well either way, they'll fix the gts to the point where the pokemon won't be cloned via the daily comp (sad it'll come to that sooner or later but thats the reality of it It makes comp pokes semi-legit too since they're cloning the pokemon too.)

I thought they fixed the cloning thing in the online play, didn't they? And for the multiple gamejolt accs it's so hard to stop it, even If you are only allowed to have 1 acc per IP, still people will play with another devices what can we do cheaters gonna cheat.

not in the gts they didn't but on everything else they did?
someone found a bug saying that gts pokemon can be cloned (via waiting before conforming it)
its just how people can abuse this system (a person conformed it really why they tested it IDK) Just saying that people should be aware of this hopefully it'll be fixed soon...
