Anyone know if breeding a pokemon with a shiny parent have greater chance to be shiny in this game?
I wanna to make a shiny Magikarp with my 2 Gyarados, one is the Red Gyarados of Lake of Rage and the other is one trained by me since it was a magikarp lvl 5.

Since noone have answered yet, I'll take a wild guess and say that the generation 2 way of breeding is not how it works in P3D. Considering only the mapping & music is gen 2 style, while everything else is generation 5.

If you didin't know, in Generation 2, if you had a shiny pokemon breeding another pokemon, there would be a 1 / 64 chance of becoming a shiny. (You probably did though)

Don't take it from me though since this is only speculation.

Thank you anyway

I know that the second generation was easier, so I wanted to know if the P3D follows this logic also, and by the way you must be right

only the developer knows. But 1/64 seems to be a higher chance than getting it in the wild.
