Stuck On Startup

Alright so after I downloaded the launcher I opened it up and clicked "download latest version" it then gave me an error 404 saying i could just click continue and it would go on normally. I clicked it and it seems to be stuck on "Creating folder 'temp'". I've checked my documents and there IS now a folder named "temp" but it is empty and the downloader still says it is creating it. Am i just being impatient or is it not working .-.?
