Solved Music just quit playing and no egg...

So I downloaded 0.16 and out of no where the music just quit playing and sound. I click M and nothing happens. Downloaded 0.17 still no sound sadly and I didn't start a new game I had already spoke to Mr. Pokemon and still no egg. However I did get to fight Joey and I hate that it sounds like I am complaining, I really am enjoying this game and it is awesome so far. I can't imagine how great it will be once it's done.

you don't get the egg unless you do the mr pokemon bit after 0.17. however, the sequence is not complete, this patch added the egg item, but it does not give you the pokedex (its not ready yet but you can enable it in your save game. its in Player.dat). once thats done you don't face your rival, and you can't give elm the egg, and he doesn't give you pokeballs. its a work in progress lol

Ahhh... Makes sense lol thanks for that! I did find that thread that explains how to add the Pokedex but the only problem I have now is just the music and sound. I get none at all what so ever. I'm not sure why neither. I've hit M several times but nothing still.

strange. did you look at your volume setting ingame? you can access it by loading into one of your characters and pressing e for the game menu, then go to options and volume will be in there. also check what the volume for the program is in windows, its possible to turn certain programs down or mute them in windows you can find that by running the game then clicking the little volume/speaker icon in your system tray on the task bar and go to 'mixer', it'll give you sliders for all open programs. i doubt its the problem but its worth a shot if the ingame volume is fine.

Wow I feel like a total moron now. I guess I lowered it to zero at a certain point? I went to options like you said and notice the music volume was at 0. I found that weird thought since I remember listening to it and it just randomly quit playing one day I was playing it. Thank you so much for the help. Sorry for the noob questions lol and now my last question. I have a Pidgeotto and a Butterfree, both only know tackle at this point. There should be more moves by now right? Pidgeotto is at level 19 and Butterfree is at level 16. Oh and I didn't evolve my Charmander and it still only knows Tackle, Growl, and Ember. I don't know if that is right to?

tackle, growl and ember are the only moves that are implemented at all right now, sadly. more will come when nilllzz does them.

Sweet glad to know I wasn't going crazy lol Oh and I don't know if you guys knew this but there no limit on using attacks. I went to like PP-27/30 just to see how far it could go lol. Thank you for the help I really appreciate it!

i dont work on the main game itself but nilllzz wrote pretty much the entire engine from scratch, so theres lots of stuff thats not done and doesn't account for every possibility. a few patches ago we had no money but the store let you buy stuff forever anyway. i hope it doesnt sound like a cop out but the games not done and a lot of stuff like this will be broken. i'll keep that one in mind though, its still good to report these things so nilllzz can find the problems. sometimes these things just fall through the cracks when you're working on a bunch of things at once.

cheers mate im sorry i cant give you a better answer than "when its done". AFAIK the whole starting errand and more trainers are a priority for next patch so it might be more done next week or 2?
