Not a bug 0.23 Cant walk into goldenrod

I'm past Ilex forest and in route 34 trying to walk in to goldenrod but it doesn't allow me can someone tell me if this is a bug or its just me being dumb and going the wrong

Well, since Goldenrod has not yet been implemented into the game, I voted for dumb. It will eventually be impelemted
