[Indev 0.53] No Sound Effects

I don't hear any .xnb files in-game (eg: item_found.xnb or pokemon_heal.xnb).
I'm not sure if this is a bug in the game or just my computer not being able to play the file. This has been an issue since I downloaded the game a couple of versions ago, but just I recently found out that there were supposed to be additional sound effects in the game by talking to a friend.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

What I expected to happen:
...For the sound effects to play.

What actually happened:
...The sound effects don't play.

Steps to reproduce:
1. ...Play game.
2. ...Listen for sound effects during battles, healing in PCs, etc.

Is music working for you?

Try messing with the volume option in the Options menu.

Sorry I meant to mention that the music is working fine. In the volume section, both the sound effects and the music are set to 50.

You know there is still some Windows Vista users jian.:p
yea... the thing is... it is not a bug on P3D end but rather something else. I don't see a problem in the code... everything seem looks like XNA default.
XNA sound thingy seem buggy for only XP users but if it is not, it could be something else that their computer has while we don't.
People reported that XP users will face this bug if hardware acceleration is turn on for audio devices. so other windows have their own unique bugs.

Sometimes I get a bug like this but it only happens if a battle goes on for awhile I'll lose battle music and when the battle ends Ill lose sound effects but music still plays but the sound effects return after about 5-10 minutes and are fine

I think the only way is to kill xna for being buggy on its own. It isn't pokemon 3d fault.
