Most of what I have already read on this post either makes no grammatical sense, is completely off topic, is terribly wrong, or, dare I say it, makes the user who posted the reply seem mentally challenged. No offense intended if they actually are.

The point is, I know that it would be completely possible to make the models into 3-Dimensional models using Blender or something related to that. However, the current stage of the game is still very early Indev, and Indev stands for In Development. We would have to wait for months, even a year or two, before the game even gets to Alpha, and even Beta if we're lucky. That gives Kolben plenty of time between now and the actual release of the game to finish the story line of Pokemon G/S/C AND to make every model and texture in the game beautiful and 3-D. There is no need to rush something that is nowhere near finished yet.

EDIT - Keep in mind that I said MOST, not all.

i know your doing a awesome job already with the 3d but it would be extremely awesome if you made pixels into 3d models and if some peoplewant the pixel versions you could add a option when you start the game

thanks for your time for reading this
I'm afraid I don't understand this.
Everything is in original format, 16x16 bit. So it is pixel-y.
There are 3d models, but I do wish there was more, although I think they are hard a work on this.
I would really love varying angles, a cylinder, and all kinds of stuff. But i know these guys are hard at work.
Mmmmmmmmm, pixelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

3d modeling takes time and expertise we can't afford on our budget of 0 dollars, besides, the engine only deals with primitives, not meshes, we don't have an animation system either (i was working on one but it is on the backburner)

at one point i want the engine to be able to load meshes for map props, and maybe let content packs replace a sprite with a model, similar to how you can play duke nukem 3d in a source port with 3d models in place of the sprites. but we simply can't whip up and animate all the pokemon, there are far too many.

also, if you don't want to offend people don't casually throw phrases like 'mentally challenged' around. :\ regardless of if someone is 'mentally challenged' it's still pretty belligerent.

I say just wait for GenVI to be released and use the 3D model they provide if possible. I think Pokemon X and Y are using 3D pokemon models.

From what I saw in the trailer, event the backdrop was in 3D, so I guess it will have 3D models.
