Item searching option in inventory lists and shop lists.

I don't know if this has been suggested before but I checked in the suggestion archive and closed suggestions, and I didn't find anything about this. Also, I didn't find anything recent on the main suggestions page about this either. So, here we go, I guess. I suggest that we have some kind of way to not only manually sort our items in our inventory, but also, to have a way to search for a specific item in your inventory. Adding said search bar for when you are selling an item in any and every shop in the entire game should be something implemented at some point or another, even if it ends up being a long term goal.

As we get farther into our Pokemon journeys, we may get a lot of items accumulated in our inventories. With a killer combo of... 1) No in-game way to sort items and no way to store them in the PC other than putting on Pokemon as hold items in the Pokemon storage system (...which, by the way, makes it difficult if not impossible to store stacks of items w/o catching a bunch of Pokemon, which some people don't care to do... Some people don't care about the Pokedex after all, which isn't unreasonable IMHO. Especially since catching Pokemon costs money for Pokeballs and a lot of time and effort, if you plan to store stacks of items, which is just asking too much of us IMHO.) , and 2) No way to manually sort items in-games, without editing the Item.DAT file every time you want to sell something or even just to sort something (...which, by the way, is impossible if you are playing in the online server with a GameJolt account IIRC), I think it is a great idea to implement something like this in the EXTREMELY near future if at all possible.

Sorry, if this begs a TL;DR comment or two, a at least... at the VERY least, one or two... XD
I do however think it is worth the read, as it is a suggestion that seems foolhardy to not consider. At least as far as I'm concerned, it is.
Let me know what you think in the comments below, please.

P.S.~ Comma overload. Impossible as it may seem, that entire thing was correct in both both grammar and punctuation... or at least mostly, if nothing else. (Also, the obvious exception of the unnecessary elipses, acronyms like IMHO and IIRC, as well as "XD."

Wait. Why the in the heck do I care...? XD

I would quite like a way to search for items in the bag. Looking through the entire bag to find a single item can be long and annoying; a search bar would render this quick and easy.

alternate idea: add the free space section from black 2 and white 2. (for those who didn't play those games, the free space is an extra section of your bag where you can place items for easy access)

also, you can already sort items in your inventory by pressing Q, but only by name and item ID.

By pressing Q? Didn't know that. I couldn't seem to figure that out for myself for some reason. Of course, I am playing with a wired Xbox 360 controller, so a controller button for sorting would be nice.

Also, I think that, if nothing else, the free space bag slot would make a great temporary relief until a search bar can be implemented. In all honesty, since it won't be too long before we go to our 3rd region, Hoenn, I'm kind of surprised that something like this hasn't already been implemented by now, if not by a LONG TIME before this point... XD

Finally, I'm surprised that the official games haven't ever thought of a search bar in addition to their detailed sorting option for just so much absolute friggin' ease. To make it that easy to get into and out of the bag for not so common things within a few secs would be like a dream come true.
