A thread isn't considered ''dead'' until a month has passed without activity, in which case, you have not been reviving it, rather, prolonging its doom.

I have heard about that many times.I already revived this thread thrice.
Hippo is so fat that his battleship sunk and then he became angry at himself.
You never ''revived'' it... Reviving is technically necroing and that's pretty bad unless it has special rights or something.
